I am working remotely this afternoon, and by \u201cremotely,\u201d I mean sleeping on my couch. \u00a0Oliver the Cat is working remotely, too.\u00a0 That\u2019s him, above.\u00a0 Oliver has been working remotely since 1997.\u00a0 Just kidding! \u00a0He\u2019s only three years old.\u00a0 So, he\u2019s been working remotely since 1897.\u00a0 (I\u2019m including his first eight lives.)\u00a0 Oliver INVENTED working remotely.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The greatest\nchallenge I have faced working remotely is that my refrigerator is inconveniently\nlocated in the kitchen.  The problem is\nthat my couch is in the family room.  Tragically,\nmy arms are only 30 inches long.  This set\nof unfortunate circumstances requires me to actually stand up and embark on a\nharrowing 20-foot journey to the refrigerator. \nBut let it be known that I take my remote work seriously, so I embrace this\nchallenge.  Doggonit, that\u2019s just how I was\nraised.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a serious note, the pandemic has impacted all of our lives.\u00a0 So, I think I can speak for my fellow remote workers when I say, \u201cPlease, God, let this pandemic continue.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one is\nmore grateful to Dr. Fauci for his helping to fund the creation of this\nvirus.  I\u2019m sure he wasn\u2019t thinking it\nwould kill millions, or that I would get to enjoy a midweek afternoon nap, but\nI\u2019m grateful to the man, nevertheless.  And\nto do so at such great risk to himself. \nThe guy\u2019s 80 years old!  It\u2019s a\nmiracle he didn\u2019t drop dead in the first wave. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it\u2019s\nnot something we want to think about, sadly, one day the pandemic will come to\nand end.  We\u2019ll all have to go back to\nour offices.  We\u2019ll sit behind our computer\nscreens and get to work.  What work?  Why, worrying about what crippling side\neffects these vaccines will hit us with down the road.  The suspense will kill us.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
